This actually happened several years ago, but it was so funny that it still sticks in my mind. Coming home from work one day on the bus there was a very tall, young man. He looked pretty scruffy, probably homeless, definitely crazy. The first thing that drew my attention was when he started mumbling very agitately to himself. Within a few moments he started slamming the side of his head against the bus window. Of course, everyone on the bus just looked down and tried to pretend nothing strange was happening. Fortunately he stopped bashing his head against the window before he passed out with a concussion. A few minutes later he was in a much better mood. He was looking out the window, waving happily and shouting "It's Abe Lincoln! Hey Abe!". We were all relieved that he was in a better mood and didn't have the heart to tell him that Abe Lincoln died over 100 years ago. Well, to cap off the craziness, this fellow stood up to get off the bus a little while later and the bus lurched a little, causing him to bang his head against the metal hand rail. Much to our amusement he yelled out "OUCH!!!". Once he was off the bus all of us started cracking up. That little bump couldn't have compared to his self inflicted head bashing a few minutes before.
